October 2019 : Ipu Whenua
These are the 5 Ipu Whenua from our 'Listening to the Land' exhibition.
Each ipu (gourd) holds a different NZ native tree seedling.
These trees are part of the forest unique to the Taranaki ring plain.
The seedlings have been rescued from our driveway, where they won't survive.
After the exhibition they will be grown on & replanted on the land.
