May 2022

1/6/2022

i enjoyed the brevity of writing just 3 lines *
i enjoyed the staccato rhythm
like the sound of hail wind driven on to the windows
watercolours are amazing
a few leaves picked up on a few walks
the process is alluring & there's a certain amount of serendipity in the outcome
i wonder will i ever be able to pull 'this' off
will i ever be able to bring 'this' together
to be honest, i don't even know what 'this' is
'the ideas, the visions, the dreams of what's possible would not be in you if they were not for you. they are in you for a reason & they are yours to shape & mould & build & play with & tweak & adapt & iterate on' Tiffany Han**
in the end does it really matter
i'm gonna say no, not to the outside world
but to the voice inside
it's vital

Jan, Feb & Mar 2022

31/3/2022

january 2022
february 2022
march 2022
i spent
January wishing for February

i got a bee sting
at the beach
it was unexpected

within days my toe was consumed by cellulitis
which was also unexpected

i spent
February hopeful

obsessively checking the ocean temperature
to see if it might be warm enough to swim

we holidayed in a place where the ocean was warm enough to swim
it was definitely more fun after the cyclone

i spent
March relaxing in to Autumn
getting comfortable with the season
sadly
the weather changed

i put my beach towel & bathers away
& found myself planning my winter wardrobe

every day of these 3 months
i have photographed the sky
often more than once

at this time of the year our sky is changeable
stunningly beautiful

it's April tomorrow
a new moon
we get to start again

we were reminded that the present is temporary . . .
October

December
& that the past holds space for the future
