Instagram Update Feb 2016

20/2/2016

'selfie' feb 2016 . . . with a sunset over my left shoulder
On the 9th of February 2016 Instagram made it possible for an individual to have more than one account associated with their login.
Which means now you can have up to 5 accounts that you can easily switch between, without having to log in & out of accounts.

I am delighted !

I love using Instagram but have always felt like I suffer from some sort of multiple personality syndrome (or need to anyway) when I switch out of diary/journal mode into marketing mode.
These are two distinctly different things for me & I'm so much more comfortable being able to have 2 accounts, each having its own specific purpose.

'sallyhikaka' will be where I post photos of what I'm up to, what I'm making, where I am; basically anything & everything.
It will continue the same as always, a little bit all over the place, curated but not polished & will honestly show snippets of fibre, art & my life in New Zealand.

'pirihirajames' will showcase products which are for sale via the Etsy shop.

I'm really looking forward to operating both accounts, quite excited actually.

I already feel comfortable with the Instagram separation: my life is my life, my art is a large part of my life but not everything I create is for sale, some of it is personal, some of it experimental.

The things for sale I can now share separately & that makes me happy.
