Instagram

30/8/2015

Instagram is a platform for sharing but it's also about exchange.
I love it for discovery.

I love it when I happen upon people who make 'real' things & share 'real' things.
Simple things, amazing things, everyday things, things that have affected them enough to make them want to share it.
People who use the platform for others, by making it about something other than themselves.
People who think deeply, have opinions & express their own thoughts honestly & with humility.
In the months I've been on Instagram my world has filled & broadened considerably because of who I have been fortunate enough to find.

I'll continue to share my world & my making because there's almost certainly someone out there who might stumble across me & their world might fill & broaden with the exchange.

I don't remember who said that the best way to enjoy your work is to either lead people or teach people.

Whether you prefer to lead or teach doesn't really matter as you can do both, simply by sharing.
Lead by example, show people how you do things & encourage them to try.
Their life & your life will be all the richer for the exchange.
