. . . the new moon has come, Puanga & Matariki are again visible above the horizon at dawn, the season has changed
the days are short, night's still lengthening & it is cold
time to rest, to remember & to reconnect with the natural world whose cycles continue uninterrupted, as they have for millennia
for some, time has come & they have left us; miraculously, & thankfully, others have been able to stay & then there are our treasures for whom time has just begun
let's celebrate them all & look forward to another year, a new beginning, the cycle continues . . .
