& just like that the year is over

6/1/2025

Picture
it's been a big year
filled with big things
good big things - in the main

collaborations
connection
travel

listening, growing
s t r e t c h i n g  o u t,  t a k i n g  u p  s p a c e
holding space

playing with voice, letting voice out

turning inward, resting, recovering

returning to self

turning to light
watching the sky
meeting the stars

sleeping soundly

still wondering : still noticing : still loving

A Year of Handmade Books 2023

30/8/2024

Maybe I should title this post 'The Year I Made a Lot of Books'.
Now that it's August 2024 I know that making books seems to be the one thing I am consistently doing this year too.
So here are a host of pics of the books I made in 2023.

There's only one that i really did not enjoy making & that was/is the one i made to be a xmas gift for a friend & fuck me if it wasn't the most awkward clumsy thing i have ever made !
I didn't give it away & it doesn't sit on the shelf with the others.
It sits in the ugly corner hahahahahaha
No ! I don't actually deliberately have an ugly corner . . . notice the wording there ;)
It sits right beside my most comfy chair & I've put a few of my favourite collage into it.
I hope one day to not detest it.
Truth be told it's not the book I detest it's the clunky clumsy way i made it & I'm hoping that by filling it with beautiful things I will begin to love it.
So far it's not working but hey I'm human & this apparently is a thing.

Enjoy the photos . . .
